As a family friendly hotel, Fowey Hall is the perfect venue for an alternative way of celebrating the birth of your child with your family and friends in a unique naming ceremony.

We have various rooms available for naming ceremonies dependent on the size of the group:

The Drawing Room
An elegant, light and airy room with lovely views over the estuary and out to sea, intricate plasterwork and an open fire place - ideal for an informal occasion with up to 50 guests.

The Library
Perfect for intimate occasions, it has an open fireplace and seats up to 20 guests.

The Billiard Room
A stunning room with a high barrel-vaulted ceiling, elaborate chandeliers and feature fireplace, an extremely private room, suitable for up to 30 guests.

Palm Court
A charming, bright room with unrivalled views over the estuary and doors leading out to the veranda and terrace, suitable for up to 20 guests.

The Conservatory Restaurant
A light modern space which cleverly blends the old with the new. It enjoys views over to Polruan with French doors leading out to the terrace and croquet lawn, suitable for up to 80 guests.

The Events Coordinator will sit down with you to discuss ideas for the day and help you plan every aspect from flowers to menus, drinks and music. The ceremony can be can be conducted by a professional Celebrant or for a really personal touch - you! Ceremonies generally include an introduction and readings lasting approximately 20 minutes.
