Christmas
at Fowey Hall 2008 Tuesday 23rd December 2008 Arrive from 3pm and get a warm welcome with mince pies and mulled wine to get into the mood of Christmas. Sit back and relax by the fire over a Cornish afternoon tea. The children can join in the supervised activities at the Four Bears Den and be entertained by Peteza from 3pm. Children’s tea will be served, followed by older children’s supper. Each evening our nannies will be on duty showing a Christmas movie. Once the children are snug and settled, join us for a welcome cocktail before going through to a candlelit dinner for two while the moment is captured by our resident caricaturist. Christmas Eve After a proper Cornish breakfast, the children can enjoy a morning of craft and general play in the Four Bears Den while you have a go at our Pulsar Laser Quest. Alternatively, stroll into Fowey to seek out some last minute presents. A lunchtime buffet will be served in the restaurant followed by fun in the Den with Cosmo the clown. Mums can be pampered with a mini massage, facial, manicure or pedicure in our Aquae Sulis retreat. In the evening the St Blazey Ladies choir will entertain us with Christmas carols by the fire, followed by a story teller for the children before putting out mince pies for Father Christmas. Drinks will be served in the drawing room whilst you try your luck at the Fowey Hall casino, followed by a gala dinner in Hansons Restaurant. Christmas Day Start this special day with a relaxing continental breakfast delivered to your room, so you can enjoy time together opening presents. Father Christmas may drop in on his way home with presents for all the good children, after which a champagne reception will start off our traditional family lunch. The close up magicians will come and impress you at the table and will also be taking the children for a magic show. Enjoy an afternoon of nothingness, playing games by the fire or watching a Christmas movie with your feet up. After a walk on the beach or a nice snooze on the sofa, finish the day by a classic cold pantry supper; a very cosy end to Christmas day. Boxing Day After breakfast there will be craft making activities with the nannies in the Four Bears Den for our youngest guests. At the same time, in the main house you can see if you would make a good cowboy or cowgirl riding the rodeo bull. A light boxing lunch is followed by a laser clay pigeon shoot until dark. When the children are either tucked up in bed or enjoying the festive movie, enjoy your final evening dinning accompanied by a local Jazz band. A Three day Recharger at Fowey Hall 2008 27th – 29th December Come and relax with us between the hectic festive periods. The Den is open everyday with activities for the younger ones, the beach hut and the gun room are stocked up with games and activities. The beaches are waiting to be explored and if you have some energy left there are lots of lovely walks along the coastal paths. Locally, you can enjoy an afternoon at the Eden project or you could just explore all activities that Fowey and Cornwall can offer at this time of the year. Each evening there is a high tea for the younger ones as well as an older children’s supper and there will be a supervised movie in the Cooks room. The recharger package includes three nights accommodation, full Cornish breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner for the adults. Children stay for free but pay for all meals. New Year at Fowey Hall 2008 Tuesday 30th December Arrive from 3pm and get a warm welcome with mince pies and mulled wine. Sit back and relax by the fire over a Cornish afternoon tea. The children can join in the supervised activities at the Four Bears Den and be entertained by Peteza from 3pm. Children’s tea will be served, followed by older children’s supper. Each evening our nannies will be on duty showing a Christmas movie in the Cooks room and holding activities in the Billiard room. Once the children are snug and settled , join us for a welcome cocktail, before being taken into dinner, where you will be entertained by table magic during the course of the evening. New Years Eve After a hearty Cornish Breakfast, the children can enjoy a morning of calendar making and general play in the Den while you challenge each other at the Pulsar laser quest. A lunchtime buffet will be served in the restaurant followed by fun and activities in the den with Cosmo the clown. In the evening the children will be entertained in the Billiard room by our Den staff followed later by a festive movie will be shown in the Gun room, whilst the adults enjoy a murder mystery gala evening accompanied by the Roger Bailey Jazz trio. We will celebrate the New Year toasting with Champagne on the veranda overlooking the Fowey River and the Fowey Hall firework display. New Years Day Start the New Year with a relaxing continental breakfast delivered to your room, so you can recover from the night before. Craft making activities will take place in the Den while everyone else can see if you would make a good cowboy or cowgirl riding the rodeo bull. Alternatively, find a cosy corner and just relax. A light lunch buffet will be served in the restaurant. Massages will also be available in our Aquae Sulis retreat, but will need to be pre-booked. Afternoon tea will be accompanied by a traditional Pantomime, which is fun for all of the family! Later making sure the children are either tucked up in bed or enjoying the evening movie, enjoy your last evening by having a bit of a gamble and trying your luck at the Fowey Hall casino. Tariff
Children under 1 year free Single occupancy are subject to a 10% discount A limited number of dogs will be allowed to stay during the festive packages at a charge of £7.00 per dog per night, dogs are only allowed in our Court rooms. Dogs are not allowed in the main house during the festive period. Booking Conditions Reservation may be made by telephone but must be confirmed immediately by a 30% non refundable deposit. The remaining balance will be taken off the card on the 1st of December. Once confirmed booking will be subject to a 100% cancellation charge in respect of any places we are unable to re-sell. We strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance cover. |
