Rich architectural detailing, Baroque plasterwork, vaulted ceilings, exotically wood panelled public rooms, French furniture, especially woven Wilton carpets and elaborate fireplaces all contribute to the breathtaking effect on strolling through the hotel. It must have been quite a shock to the tranquil fishing village community of Fowey when this very fine mansion was built; during its time as home to the Hanson family, it regularly welcomed royal visitors. French furniture, specially woven Wilton carpets and stylish touches, and the house now welcomes everyone. It’s so rewarding for parents to be able to relax completely in such luxurious surroundings whilst their children, regardless of age, are having such a wonderful time.
