We can’t believe it’s almost half term and with the summer now feeling like a distant memory and the clocks turning back soon, we are in full Autumn mode! The first break of the new school year is upon us and it is the perfect time of year to escape to Cornwall to rest and recharge.
There is a different vibe at this time of year, a slower pace and easy ambience. Quiet beaches are perfect for exploring, rock pooling and crabbing and then return to the hotel to cosy firesides for some hot chocolate and hearty food.
During half term, there are activities each day, a den to play in, indoor pool to splash in and acres of gardens to crunch through. Two hours of complimentary childcare are included every day of your stay to ensure you have some down time too; enjoy pampering spa treatments or relax by an open fire with a good book…
Out and about there is so much going on in the local area. There is plenty of spooktacular fun at Heligan where you can meet the Good, the Bad and the Bugly! Follow the Creepy Creatures Trail, meet the owls and some creepy crawly creatures and learn about the animals that live in the garden at night! Make sure you don't miss the Halloween games and crafts at the Steward’s House.
The Eden Project are hosting their annual ‘Little Monsters Ball’ so get your fancy dress on and join in an evening of fang-tastic fun, including a spine-tingling disco and an ice rink to chill you to the bone. All the family can get involved and dress up for this annual Halloween outing!
Back at the hotel we are hosting our very own pumpkin carving competition on Thursday 31st October where families can carve out their own pumpkin! Our chef will judge the entries at the end of the day and present a prize for the best family effort. All entries will be proudly displayed thereafter on your dinner table for a Spooktacular centrepiece.
We hope to welcome you to Fowey Hall this Half term.
