Laura Likes is a bespoke Wedding Stationery company based in Newquay, Cornwall making special wedding invites and stationery. Laura began trading as a Greetings Card company 8 years ago, supplying independent retailers nationwide, and the company has since expanded into wedding stationery following her own wedding in 2012.
Laura Likes specialise in contemporary wedding stationery design with the emphasis on creating something truly unique based around the theme and/or colour scheme of your particular wedding. Whilst she offers many ‘off the shelf’ ranges on her website these tend to act as a starting point for more bespoke designs where a couple may want to change the colours, as well as add extra elements into the design. Laura absolutely loves this about her job! Creating something new and beautiful for a customer and sharing in the excitement of the run up to their big day is definitely one of the big advantages of her work.
It is also really inspiring learning about the little details clients intend to include on their wedding day. All things vintage are hugely fashionable at the moment and several Laura Likes designs reflect this trending style. From Save the Date luggage tags strung with beautiful old lace to Table Plans based around aged maps and sepia photo RSVP cards – Laura has an extensive portfolio to lend your day that vintage feel. Being in Cornwall she also supplies stationery for many weddings set in seaside venues and the theme of the wedding will often reflect this with her Nautical, Surfs Up and Love Bug camper van invitations being amongst the most popular.
Wedding invitations are constantly evolving in style and rapidly becoming works of art in themselves. Laura Likes is committed to remaining at the forefront of cutting edge design; this year has seen an extension of her portfolio to include matching envelope liners, package invitation sets – where different elements printed on to different media are all tied together with lace, ribbon or bakers twine. And most recently the inclusion of scratch panels on Save the Date cards and Invitations so that guests can scratch to reveal and save your wedding date. How about including a new penny inside its own tiny vellum envelope with the card? The possibilities for innovative design are endless!
Coming soon are ‘For One Night Only’ ticket style invitations with perforated guest passes intended to be torn off and brought to the wedding and vintage lace doily products. Whether it’s classic or contemporary stationery you are after please visit www.lauralikes.wordpress.com.
