We’re proud to be supporters of the South West Coast Path and you can pick up the 630 miles of trails just a few minutes from our hotel’s doorstep. Whether you’re jogging down to Readymoney beach for a run up to Gribbin Head or stomping a long hike, you’ll see the best of the coast from this ancient trail.

We have recommended a few of our favourite walks in our area for you to explore:
Fowey to Polkerris
Approximately 4.5 miles around the coast you will take in some spectacular scenery along the way, you will pass Gribben Head daymark and a number of hidden coves. You can even find refreshments when you arrive in Polkerris for a well deserved drink or two in the pub or bite to eat in the restaurant on the beach.
Once in Polkerris (and fed and watered) you can get a taxi back to Fowey or if you are feeling really fit head back along the Saints Way.
Venturing further afield across the water towards Looe, you can walk from Looe Station to Talland Bay.
A varied walk not for the faint hearted at approximately 7.5 miles long, taking in the beautiful wooded estuary of the West Looe River before crossing to join the South West Coast Path. This route takes in an important ancient boundary wall 'The Giants Hedge' as legend has it, built by Jack the giant who had nothing to do so he built a hedge from Lerryn to Looe.
The walk winds through an old oak woodland teeming with wildlife and descends into Talland Bay, which used to be a haven for smugglers and pirates.
