Hi I'm Gemma Burleigh from Your Story Weddings. I am a portrait and wedding photographer based in Cornwall. I am in love with all things vintage, and my style of photography is relaxed and romantic. I adore storytelling through my images, I feel if you can capture someone’s true expression and smiles without having to pose you always get the best images.
I work closely with my brides and grooms before the big day, to ensure they are not only ready but are confident and relaxed enough to be themselves and let me capture their day. I am not a traditional photographer by any means; I like to break rules, I like angles and I love to find that little moment in people when their guard drops and they can just be.
I had the pleasure of shooting one of my 'Fash The Dress' sessions at the beautiful Fowey Hall Hotel the other day. Fash the Dress shoots are the perfect way to get some amazing fashion style images of you in your wedding dress, and it means you get to wear your beautiful dress one more time.
Maybe you didn't get enough images of you in your dress on your wedding day, maybe the image you got were not what you had in mind, or maybe you just want to have the model experience and show off in your beautiful gown! Either way, if you still have your dress, and would like to have your very own Fash the Dress session, visit the website.
If you don't want to have a 'Fash the Dress' session, you could always be brave and go for the more creative 'Trash the Dress' - for brides who have decided they don't want to sell their dress and want to create some stunning one-off images! See website for more information.
From stepping into Fowey Hall you feel instantly glamorous, its high ornate ceilings and beautiful decor really lend themselves to the Vintage Glamour a wedding here can bring. I was lucky enough to photograph a wedding here last year, and everything was just perfect. The staff are so welcoming and helpful, you just know you are going to be looked after. Such a spectacular view set in stunning grounds, this place is every photographer's dream. There is no shortage of areas to be photographed here, and I would jump at the chance to go back and do another shoot.
