Cornish Pasty Week 2020
It's Cornish Pasty Week. The humble pasty will be celebrated throughout Cornwall and across the country, culminating in the ‘Oggy Oscars’ the ninth-annual World Pasty Championships at the Eden Project on Saturday 29th February.
St Piran’s Day
Celebrations in Cornwall. Celebrations take place across Cornwall to honour St Piran, one of the most popular patron Saints. Be it an open-air play, a singalong in a pub or a procession through a town, just look out for a black and white flag.
Fowey Festival of Art & Literature
Featuring an exciting programme. Including talks, interviews, creative and practical workshops, exhibitions, presentations, theatre, musical concerts, an Art trail, guided walks and river cruises to enjoy, inform, challenge and inspire the imagination.
Lostfest in Lostwithiel
The event is without doubt Lostwithiel’s biggest and busiest day of the year. This festival has now firmly established itself in the town's calendar with arts and craft stalls in venues all over the town along with live music and dance both indoors and out.
Royal Cornwall Show
It’s a great day out for everyone! An annual agricultural show which has something for all the family, from animals big and small to fun fair rides and show jumping.
Throughout June & July the world-renowned Eden Project host gigs to some great stars. An inspiring venue it is not to be missed. Already lined up for this year is Lionel Ritchie & The Script!
Fowey Royal Regatta
It’s a fantastic week not to be missed! One of Britain’s best loved sailing events takes place in Fowey from 16-22 August 2020. It is also a fun-filled week for all the family with a Carnival procession, Giant Pasty ceremony, Flora Dance, fireworks displays, crab-catching competition, swimming races, pasty-eating competition and live entertainment every night.
Fowey Hall Summer Fete
Roll up, roll up! Our annual summer fete is back for its third year on Wednesday 19th August. As part of the Fowey Royal regatta week we host traditional fete games with Splat the rat and a coconut shy to name a few. Its free entry to all and you can join us on the terrace for a BBQ and Pimm’s too!
Tour of Britain 2020
Cornwall will host the Tour of Britain for the first time ever with ‘The Grand Départ’ seeing riders cycle 170 kilometres through the Cornish countryside, starting at Penzance and ending in Bodmin. The stage’s provisional route (subject to final approval) will also visit St Just, St Ives, Hayle, Camborne, Pool, Redruth, Falmouth, Penryn, Truro, Newquay, St Austell and the Eden Project.
Line up to be announced soon! Looe Live will take place from 25-27 September 2020 a three-day festival which provides a mix of music and community spirit that fills the streets.
Truro City of Lights
Not to be missed! Hailing the start of the festive season on 18th November 2020 the Truro City of Lights parade is a spectacular illuminated procession through the streets.
